About Connecting Cousins

As you read on our main page Connecting Cousins was initially the creation of four Hedger cousins back in 2000, two in the United States, and two in England, Marje, Annemarie, Jo and Stephanie. One cousin, Annemarie, is me, the webmaster and the "cousin" of all the branches found on this site.

I am a Hedger through my mother's father, and an Arrow through her mother. I am a Rogers through my father, and a Beasley through his mother. I am a Halfpap through my husband, and his father's mother was a Biesecker. His mother's father was a Walker and her mother was a Reitler. These family branches come mostly from England, Germany, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and Illinois, but with a sprinklings of other countries and states.

I have been an avid genealogy 'nut' since I was in my 20's, and am very grateful for that. I was able to ask those older relatives many of the questions people later wish they could have asked. Over the last 30+ years I have done a number of family trees for others, finding connections to interesting people and places along the way.

I plan to begin the process of obtaining my Genealogist Certification soon. But, having had this site up for so many years, and many parts of it were contributed by others, I felt it was time for me to update and review its content. So before I start my certification I am revisiting my family tree, and putting a new face on the Connecting Cousins website.
